Chelsea's "Winter Wonderland" Senior Portrait Session
Senior portraits have traditionally been taken the summer before a student’s Senior year but today just about any time of the year is perfect for Senior portraits. Most high school seniors want the outdoors for their backdrop and Chelsea was no different. Her mom and I had been scheduling and rescheduling for a few months but couldn’t seem to make our busy schedules click. Then Martin Luther King Day snuck up on us and the stars seemed to align. That Monday off allowed us to plan a weekday senior session. There was snow on the ground and it was bitter cold in Westerville Ohio but Chelsea was up for a “Winter Wonderland” Senior Portrait Session that turned out wonderful.
We alternated studio shots with outdoor locations to warm up and so Chelsea didn’t get a red nose.
Chelsea’s adorable red swing coat was perfect for her January outdoor senior portraits.
It was cold enough that in some of the photos we can see Chelsea’s breath.
There isn’t any real best time to schedule senior portraits. We go with the flow, make the most of every time of the year and end up with unique, individual portraits for every senior to highlight and capture who they are during that final year of High School.
